American Buggy Association

ABA meets the first Thursday of selected months at a local restaurant in the San Fernando Valley or Simi Valley. Starting at 6:30 PM. See schedule for meeting dates. Applicant attendance requirements are two meetings and two outings. Yearly membership dues of $55 are payable every January, this includes $30 for CORVA membership.

June Meeting Minutes

 

Called to order at 6:55pm 6/5/2003 at Carrow’s Restaurant

Minutes: April minutes unanimously approved as read.

Treasures Report:   The ABA Great Western account is now closed and and a new account opened at Telesis Credit Union the balance is $1,96768 as of June 5th 2003. There is a $6:00 per month fee for the checking account but we will still look for free checking.

Committee reports:

 

   Newspaper: The Newsletters are out and the WEB Page is doing fine

 

   ABA Store: Rob Cover says ok, call him if you need anything.

 

   Equipment: Most everything is returned back to Jeff. 

 

   Health and Welfare: 

                        Eric Pifer is doing doing good he is going to have the rest of 

                        the tumor removed surgically.

                        

                        Dave Levine passed away from cancer.

                        Diane Brewer had glaucoma surgery and is having complications.

 

   Historian: Barbara Brought another of the old photo albums.

 

   CORVA Rep: CORVA had the Expo in Victorville, 2000 people showed.

                           Red Rock Canyon State park is planning on closing some roads in Last Chance Canyon, but CORVA is fighting this

 

Old Business:   Judy will be reserving New Horizons for the Xmas party.

 

New Business:

ABA metal plaques will cost $25-$35, the club needs to order at lease 10 for new members.

ABA at the CORVA Southern Jamboree

 Saturday Sunday September 27 ,28

 

ABA will be sponsoring the Barrel Race at the jamboree we need volunteers 

to help run the event. This is always a lot of fun, the events start Saturday at 9:00am and 

run until about 3:00pm.At 5:00 there is a dinner served at a nominal fee and then the awards are given out.

Sunday there will be a poker run. All proceeds go to CORVA!
