Formed over thirty years ago by a group of off-road vehicle enthusiasts, the ABA is a family oriented club whose members own a wide variety of vehicles for off-road recreation. We meet bi-monthly at a local restaurant in the San Fernando Valley or Simi Valley. (see our News letter for dates). The meetings are the first Thursday of selected months at 6:30 PM.

The club plans an outing almost every month with a picnic in the summer and parties for kids and adults at Christmas time.

Many members drive sand rails and ATVs on our outings to the dunes of Dumont, Glamis, and Pismo, We have runs that vary from fast to runs for kids. The club goes to the sand an average of four times a year. 

The other months we go to locations more appropriate for 4x4s, Baja Bugs and ATVs. These runs tend toward the more challenging and stock vehicles may not do well. There are a lot of motorcycles and ATVs in the club and they are always welcome.

Although the club is 35+ years old, the members are all ages and some families have fourth generation members. 

We welcome enthusiastic newcomers regardless of any age and gender. We usually dry camp and at a typical outing you may see families and singles spending the night in everything from tents to large motor homes.

The club is a big supporter of the California Off-Road Vehicle Association (CORVA) and other groups that support keeping public lands open for off-roading. 

All ABA are members of CORVA the annual dues are $55 (includes $30 CORVA dues).
